Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and pro bono are now firmly on the business agenda for a significant number of global businesses and they have shifted from the margins to the mainstream of business practice.  We have the capability, indeed the obligation, to act responsibly and fulfil our Vision of "active participation in the wider community as people and professionals" - as is demonstrated by the needs of our clients and our people.

CSR has yet to be defined as one fixed approach to good business practice - but includes areas such as management of environmental impact, corporate governance, diversity or the way in which a business responds to the needs of the wider community.  DLA Piper's CSR strategy has been developed with all these components in mind, but primarily focuses upon how we can make a difference in the communities where we live and work in terms of our pro bono and volunteering efforts.

We are very keen to develop a truly global project which will not only inspire our people, but will help them develop commercial and business skills while making a positive impact on a local level.
